In an interview with some first-year students, they expressed their sighs of relief and attributed their fear and uncertainty to the UTAG strike. According to them, they were hitherto very skeptical about their fate due to the UTAG strike which was thankfully called off only a few weeks ago. According to one of the students, “I was still not sure that the strike was finally over but now that we have been matriculated, I am rest assured that all is well”

At the ceremony, the registrar of the institution, Paul Osei Barima (ESQ) advised the students to be of good behavior and be even more studious time was not on their side.

Some of the students who complained to this reporter claimed that lecturers, in a bid to catch up with the time lost, have resorted to pilling-up various assignments, the group works, and quizzes.

They, however, expressed happiness about the fact that academic work has been restored and they can now be recognized officially as legitimate students of EUW.
