The Minister for the interior, Hon. AMBROSE DERY who is also the MP for the Nandom Constituency on Friday 30th April, 2021 graced the occasion and reviewed the graduation parade for the Ghana National Fire Service cadet intake XVII and XVIII at Fire Academy Training School (FATS), which is located at Accra, Jamestown. Even though the ceremony was short due to the strict observation of the covid-19 protocols, the new graduating officers still demonstrated at the Parade that they were adequately trained to stand the task of senior officer corps of the service.
Addressing the Parade, the Minister admonished the newly passed out officers to be diligent in their operations and carry out their duties in service to the nation. He also reiterated Government’s continuous commitment to enhancing the welfare of the service men and the Service as an Institution. He congratulated all new Officers especially the award winners and encouraged them saying “Serve your country to the best of your ability”. In all, 377 Cadet passed out. Out of the number 107 were from the intake XVII while the rest of the number were from intake XVIII.
